Carpet holds more than it shows
Carpet hides dirt well, which is the problem. Sand, pollen and grit work down into the fibers and wear them out from the bottom. By the time traffic lanes look gray, the carpet has been holding dirt for a while.
That's why the first step of every carpet job is a slow, thorough vacuum. Then we pre-treat traffic lanes and spots, clean and rinse.
On its own or with another cleaning
Carpet cleaning is often part of a bigger job:
- Move-outs. A lot of Texas leases ask for clean carpet at move-out. Add it to your move-out clean and the whole place is done on the same visit.
- Deep cleans. Carpet is the last step of a deep clean that resets a house.
- Rentals. Landlords and short-term rental hosts schedule carpet cleaning between tenants or between busy seasons.
- Offices. Entries and hallways take the most wear. We can schedule carpet cleaning around your janitorial service.
Stains: what to expect
Most food, drink and mud stains come out. Some don't. Old pet urine that reached the pad, bleach spots, dye stains from drinks and rust usually leave a mark because the carpet fiber itself has changed color. We'll point out any stain we think won't come out before we start, so you're not surprised after.
Between cleanings, blot spills right away with a white towel and cold water, and don't scrub. Our guide to pet hair and pet messes has more tips.
Drying and getting back to normal
Wet carpet needs airflow. Turn on the AC or ceiling fans and keep pets and kids off it until it's dry. Put furniture back only when the carpet is dry, and use the little foam blocks or foil under wood legs if you need to put something back early.
V&V has cleaned homes and businesses around Dallas-Fort Worth since 2009. We're insured with general liability and workers' compensation, and we speak English and Spanish.

How it works
- 01Tell us about the space
Call, text or send the form. For most homes we can quote from the details and a few photos. For businesses we set up a walkthrough.
- 02Get a written scope
You get what we'll clean, how often and the price in writing before anyone starts. No surprises on the day.
- 03We clean
Our crew shows up with its own supplies and equipment and works through the checklist. If you want us to use your products, just say so.
- 04You tell us what to change
Tell us what you'd like done differently next time, by call or text, and we update your checklist.
Tell us within 24 hours and we'll come back and fix that area free.
We keep a card on file and charge it after each cleaning is done. Nothing up front. Recurring clients are charged automatically after every visit.
Carpet Cleaning questions
How long does carpet take to dry?
It depends on the carpet, the humidity and the airflow. Running the AC or ceiling fans and keeping the windows closed on humid days helps. We'll give you a time estimate for your carpet when we're done.
Can you get out pet stains?
Fresh pet accidents usually clean up well. Old urine that soaked into the pad can leave a smell or a stain that comes back, and that may need the pad or carpet replaced. We'll tell you honestly what we think before we start.
Do you clean carpets on a move-out?
Yes. Many Texas leases ask for it. Add carpet cleaning to your move-out clean and we'll do it all in one visit.
Do you clean office carpet?
Yes. Office carpet in hallways and entries wears fastest. Regular vacuuming is part of our janitorial service, and carpet cleaning can be scheduled on top of it.
Do you clean rugs?
We clean many area rugs on site. Delicate, handmade or wool rugs can be damaged by the wrong method, so for those we may suggest a rug specialist.
