Who this is for
Church administrators, facilities volunteers and pastors who are tired of the cleaning falling on the same few volunteers every week. Also churches that rent their hall for weddings and events and need it turned around.
Big or small, a church has more kinds of rooms than most offices. A sanctuary, a nursery, a kitchen, classrooms, offices, and restrooms that get heavy use for a few hours and then sit.
Building the schedule around services
Services set the rhythm, and our office is closed on Sundays. So most churches use a pattern like this:
- Saturday. The big clean. Sanctuary, foyer, restrooms, nursery and children's rooms, so it's all ready for Sunday morning.
- Early in the week. A reset after Sunday. Trash, restrooms, the fellowship hall and the kitchen, plus anything left from Sunday afternoon.
- After midweek services or events. A lighter visit if your building gets used on Wednesday nights or for weekday programs.
Funerals, weddings and dinners get added when they're on the calendar.
What we clean in a church
Starting list. The walkthrough sets the real one.
| Area | Every visit | Weekly | Monthly or as scheduled |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sanctuary | Pews or chairs picked up and wiped where touched, hymnal and card racks straightened, floors vacuumed or mopped, trash out | Pews dusted end to end, rails and platform edges | Under pews detailed, high dusting, upholstery spot cleaned |
| Foyer and entries | Door glass and push bars, welcome counter, mats, floors | Furniture and literature racks dusted | Baseboards, light fixtures |
| Restrooms | Fixtures cleaned and disinfected, mirrors, dispensers refilled, trash, floors mopped | Partitions and walls near fixtures | Grout and drains scrubbed |
| Nursery and children's rooms | Changing tables and sinks disinfected, tables wiped, floors, trash | Cribs and play surfaces wiped if your scope includes them | Toys and shelving, if you want us to |
| Fellowship hall and kitchen | Tables wiped, floor swept and mopped, kitchen counters and sink, trash | Appliance fronts, chair wipe-down | Fridge wiped out after you clear it |
| Classrooms and offices | Tables, clear desks, floors, trash | Ledges, sills, chairs | High dusting |
Nurseries and children's ministry
Nursery rooms need extra care. CDC's guidance for early care settings says to sanitize toys and play surfaces children use, and to disinfect bathrooms and diaper changing tables regularly. Products should be stored and used out of children's reach.
We disinfect changing tables, sinks and restrooms on the schedule you set. If your nursery workers already handle toys after each service, we'll leave toys off our list so nothing gets done twice or skipped.
Restrooms on a Sunday morning
Church restrooms see a rush between services and then nothing. They need to be right before that rush. In Bradley Corp.'s 2026 survey of 1,020 U.S. adults, 85 percent said a dirty restroom gives them a negative impression of the whole facility. For a visitor on their first Sunday, that matters.
How we start
- Walkthrough. We tour the whole campus with you, including the fellowship hall, kitchen, nursery and any rooms that are only used for events.
- Written scope. Each room, each task, which days. Who supplies paper goods and soap. What we don't move.
- Schedule. Saturday plus an early-week reset is common. Keys, alarm codes and lockup steps in writing.
- Start, with one number to call. We start on the agreed day. After that, our managers do site checks, and you have one number to call or text when something needs fixing.
What changes the cost
- Size of the sanctuary and type of seating. Fixed pews and stacking chairs take different time.
- Restroom count.
- Number of classrooms and nursery rooms.
- Kitchen and fellowship hall use.
- Visits per week, plus events.
- Floor types.
We don't post prices. You get a written quote after the walkthrough. If your church holds a Texas sales tax exemption, the certificate keeps tax off the bill.
Why churches call V&V
We're a family business and have cleaned around DFW since 2009. We carry general liability and workers' comp, and we can send a certificate of insurance for your board or insurer. We speak English and Spanish.
We clean churches in Fort Worth, Arlington, Mansfield, Burleson, Joshua, Kennedale, Midlothian, Dallas and the rest of our service area.
How we keep your building consistent
Cleaning usually goes wrong when the work slips after the first month. This is how we keep it from slipping.
- A written scope
Before the first night we write down every area, every task and how often. The crew works from that list, and so do you when you check the work.
- One person to call
You get one contact at V&V for scheduling, changes and problems. In English or Spanish.
- A set schedule
Same days, same time window. If a holiday or a building event moves things, we work it out with you ahead of time.
- Problems get handled
Tell your contact what was missed. We go over it with the crew, update the checklist and look at that spot on the next visit.
- Manager site checks
Our managers do site checks and look at the work in person.
How it works

Church Cleaning questions
Do you clean on Sundays?
Our office is closed on Sundays. Most churches have us clean on Saturday so everything's ready for Sunday, and again early in the week to reset after the weekend.
Can you clean after a wedding, funeral or fellowship dinner?
Yes. Event cleanups can be added to your regular schedule or booked one at a time. Tell us when the event ends and when the room is needed next.
Is a church charged sales tax on cleaning?
Not if it holds a Texas sales tax exemption. The Texas Comptroller says a church that qualifies can give the seller a completed Form 01-339 when it buys taxable items. Give us a copy and we'll keep it on file.
Will you move things in the sanctuary?
We clean around anything on the altar, the platform or in the sacristy unless you show us what's okay to move. Instruments and sound equipment stay where they are.
Pueden hablar con nuestro equipo en español?
Sí. We speak English and Spanish, so your staff and volunteers can talk with us in either language.
