Who calls us after an event
- Office managers after the holiday party or a client open house.
- Church and community hall coordinators after a wedding reception, quinceañera, funeral meal or fundraiser.
- Schools after a banquet, a gala or a weekend tournament in the gym.
- Event planners and renters who need a hall left the way the venue wants it.
- Property managers after a tenant event in the lobby or common area.
What we clean after an event
A starting list. The size of the event and the venue's rules set the real one.
| Area | What we do |
|---|---|
| Trash and recycling | Every can emptied, bags taken to the dumpster or the spot the venue chooses, loose trash picked up from floors and tables |
| Tables and chairs | Wiped down, food and drink spills cleaned, chairs checked for sticky seats |
| Floors | Swept, vacuumed and mopped, sticky spots scrubbed, entry mats vacuumed |
| Restrooms | Fixtures cleaned and disinfected, mirrors, dispensers refilled, trash out, floors mopped |
| Kitchen or serving area | Counters, sinks and serving tables wiped, appliance fronts, trash, floor mopped |
| Entries and glass | Door glass and push bars, lobby floors |
| Decorations | Confetti, tape bits and fallen decorations picked up from the floor and tables |
Anything beyond that, like taking down decorations hung high, folding rental linens or hauling large items away, gets agreed on before the event so it's on the quote.
Spills and the not-so-fun stuff
Events mean drinks on the floor and, sometimes, someone gets sick. CDC's general guidance for buildings is to clean first and then disinfect areas where people have obviously been ill, using an EPA-registered product meant for that germ. Keep the room ventilated, and never mix products together. We clean and disinfect those spots before we do the rest of the room.
Big spills are also a fall risk. OSHA's workplace rule is that walking surfaces stay free of spills and leaks, which is one more reason to get the cleanup done before staff or the next group walks in.
How booking works
- Tell us about the event. Date, end time, the venue, rough guest count, whether food and drinks are served, and when the room is needed next.
- Walkthrough or photos. For a big venue, we'll walk it before the event. For a smaller room, photos and a floor plan may be enough.
- Written scope and quote. What we clean, what we don't, and the venue's checkout rules if there are any.
- Cleanup and walkthrough. We check the work against the scope before we leave. If you or the venue want to walk it with us at the end, we'll set that up.
What changes the cost
- Guest count and how long the event ran.
- Whether food and drinks were served, and how much.
- Size of the space, including kitchens and restrooms.
- How fast it needs to be done.
- Extras like decorations, outdoor trash pickup or furniture handling.
Building cleaning is a taxable service in Texas, and the Comptroller's guide on cleaning services lists the charge to clean a building as taxable. Exempt groups, like qualifying churches and nonprofits, can give an exemption certificate. We don't post prices. You get a written quote before the event.
If you host events often
Some halls and churches book a cleanup after every rental. Some offices add an event cleanup to their regular janitorial service. Either way, one standing scope saves you from explaining the room every time.
Why event hosts call V&V
We're a family business that has cleaned around DFW since 2009. We carry general liability and workers' comp. If your venue asks vendors for a certificate of insurance, we can send it ahead of time. We speak English and Spanish.
We work in Fort Worth, Arlington, Dallas, Mansfield, Grand Prairie, Burleson, Midlothian and the rest of our service area.
How we keep your building consistent
Cleaning usually goes wrong when the work slips after the first month. This is how we keep it from slipping.
- A written scope
Before the first night we write down every area, every task and how often. The crew works from that list, and so do you when you check the work.
- One person to call
You get one contact at V&V for scheduling, changes and problems. In English or Spanish.
- A set schedule
Same days, same time window. If a holiday or a building event moves things, we work it out with you ahead of time.
- Problems get handled
Tell your contact what was missed. We go over it with the crew, update the checklist and look at that spot on the next visit.
- Manager site checks
Our managers do site checks and look at the work in person.
How it works
- 01Tell us about the building
Call, text or send the form. We set up a free walkthrough and look at every room, floor and restroom.
- 02Get a written scope
Every area, every task, how often and the price, in writing before anyone starts.
- 03We clean
Our crew brings its own supplies and equipment and works through your checklist. You supply the paper goods and trash liners, and we refill them.
- 04You tell us what to change
Call or text your contact at V&V and we update the checklist for the next visit.
If something on the agreed scope gets missed, tell us within 24 hours and we'll fix it.

Post-Event Cleaning questions
How soon after the event can you clean?
It depends on when the event ends and what day it is. Our office hours are Monday to Saturday, 7 AM to 9 PM. Tell us the end time and when the room is needed next, and we'll give you a real time, not a guess.
Do you set up or take down tables and chairs?
We wipe tables and chairs and clean the floor under them. Folding and stacking rental furniture, or packing it for the rental company, is something to ask us about at booking so it's priced in.
Can you help us get our venue deposit back?
We can clean to the venue's checkout list. Send us the cleaning section of your rental agreement ahead of time, so we know exactly what the venue expects.
Do you clean outdoor areas after an event?
We can pick up trash and wipe patio tables. Pressure washing a patio or sidewalk is a separate job, so ask about it when you book.
Can you do this every time our hall is rented?
Yes. If you rent out a hall or event room regularly, we can set a standing cleanup after each booking and bill it per event.
